Flash Market Inc. owns and operates more than 90 Flash Market stores. An affiliated petroleum company, Flash Oil Co. of Arkansas Inc., supplies fuel to its own locations, plus about 90 other retail locations in those states. Flash Market has five travel plazas included in its convenience-store count. The company markets and distributes a variety of different fuel brands, namely CITGO, Conoco, Phillips and Shell. The majority of Flash Market locations fly the CITGO flag. A total of 35 Flash Market stores offer diesel, while 21 have a car wash.
The first Flash Market opened in 1985, with the mission of always providing customers with the finest motor fuels, merchandise and foodservice items “at competitive prices in an atmosphere of superior service,” according to company officials. The retailer is known for having very competitive prices in all categories, according to the company, yet it is seeing some of its greatest in-store successes in the foodservice category through partnerships with QSRs.
