Mirabito Fuel Group has been in business since 1927, when Italian immigrant James Mirabito began providing heating oil, coal, natural gas, gasoline and lubricants to customers from his plant in Norwich, N.Y. The company is based in The MetroCenter in Binghamton, N.Y.

In 1982, Mirabito added the convenience store division and operates company-owned stores under the brands Mirabito, Quickway Food Stores, Convenience Express and Manley’s Mighty-Mart.

In April 2014, the chain acquired all 17 Manley's Mighty-Mart stores, all in New York. In June 2014, Mirabito was in the process of evaluating the Manley’s sites and will eventually convert the stores to the Quickway Food Stores brand.

The company also owns one standalone Tim Hortons restaurant, which brings the company’s total locations to 75. In-house Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shops are in 33 of its convenience stores.

Most of the company’s stores are located along the highway in upstate New York and feature many grab-and-go products for commuters and travelers. Some stores in smaller towns are stocked with items suited to customers who might not have access to larger grocery and general merchandise stores. The chain also has 14 in-store Subways.

Retail outlets offer a variety of fuel brands and unbranded gas and are known for B20 biodiesel. Diesel fuel is available at more than half of the locations.
