Petroleum Wholesale Inc. is a family-owned fuel company that sells and distributes branded and wholesale gasoline and on- and off-road diesel and lubricants; offers fuel transportation services; and operates convenience stores and truckstops. Petroleum Wholesale services more than 200 retail locations throughout nine states.
Convenience stores called Sunmart are in Texas, Utah, Wyoming and Florida. The company prides itself on its family focus, saying it treats both employees and customers like family. Outlets in the West include some large, modern truckstops with ample parking for rigs. There are no lounges or shower facilities, but truckers can park for a few hours, buy food and other necessities, and fill up with diesel fuel. Another aspect of this chain that sets it apart is its Elite Cigar stores, which feature humidors, smoking areas and a selection of fine wines. Wine-tasting and cigar events are held about four times a year.
