In 2015, Sheetz opened a new, fuel-free concept store at University Place at West Virginia University in Morgantown, W.Va. It was followed by the opening of a similar store in downtown State College, Pa. The new stores do not have parking or fuel, but offer an emphasis on food, in-store seating and plenty of outlets and USB ports for students to linger.
Sheetz's food production facility creates ready-to-eat food products including sandwiches, wraps, sub rolls, burger buns, doughnuts and baked sweet goods. Sheetz stores are known for highly competitive fuel and tobacco prices, as well as the MTO (Made to Order) foodservice program and the barista-style Sheetz Bros. Coffeez offering.
