Founded nearly 30 years ago by current owner and president Maximo Alvarez, Sunshine Gasoline focuses on a strong branded-fuel operation, carrying such banners as BP, CITGO, Shell, Chevron and Texaco. The company features a mix of company-owned stores and a sizeable distributorship.
Though most of the c-stores are unbranded and generally feature smaller footprints, some sites have rolled out full coffee bars, outdoor eating areas and car washes. Sunshine’s loyalty programs are known for their creativity and success.
