At first glance, the truckstop and travel-center industry and the c-store industry are so similar that customers wouldn’t even know to classify them differently. Our issues are their issues.
Certainly, when we struggle with how to best deal with health care and minimum-wage mandates, truckstops struggle too. Swipe fees? Check. Cigarette legislation? Check.
But in many cases, this is where the similarities end. We see a lot of overlap in product offerings, to be sure, but there are just as many unusual offers to accompany the more traditional ones.
This is where the rubber meets the road—where the highway meets the truckstop.
