In 1990 I purchased Convenience Store People magazine. The “people” in the name was the cornerstone of its launch. Back then, the industry was much smaller and more closely knit. The belief was that people are what business is all about.
Back then, to say CSP was ranked third in a three-book field would have been a compliment. Like many companies, we began with very limited resources. We were competing with bigger, well-funded publishing companies.
