This summer marks a new era in Stripes' beverage program. In early 2018, Irving, Texas-based 7-Eleven acquired the brand from Dallas-based Sunoco. To launch the “Summer of More” campaign, Stripes stores in the South began offering Slurpee frozen dispensed drinks. The marketing push will include several more initiatives that add value, choice and variety to the brand.

Stripes' legacy offerings include 2.1 billion fountain flavor combinations, according to the company website. Soda sippers can add cherry or lime shots for additional customization.

In addition to Stripes' 100% Arabica blend coffees, customers can start their morning with 12 cappuccino flavors, such as banana nut, white chocolate caramel and sugar-free caramel pecan. On the cold dispensed side, guests can refresh with several varieties of tea, horchata and agua fresca.

As part of a 2016 redesign, Stripes situated the checkout in the center of the store to clear traffic in the popular fountain and packaged-beverage vault areas.
