San Francisco-based Peet’s Coffee’s website said it sources the top 1% of coffee beans from the world’s top growing regions. Peet’s also offers farmers training and educational opportunities, backs initiatives to help farm communities, and invests in coffee plant science.

Peet’s, which started in 1966 in Berkeley, California, is dedicated to crafting the perfect cup, a goal that shapes its process, from partnering with farmers to roasting by hand.

A recent seasonal menu included Honey Almond Latte with Almond Milk, Almond Cold Brew Oat Latte and an Anniversary Blend, described as “rich chocolate notes and plush texture from Colombia meet Burundi’s juicy pomegranate and floral aromatics for a cup that’s fruit-forward with a velvety finish.”

Earth Day highlights included permanently increasing the discount for customers who bring their own cup to 25 cents for any drink, hot or cold, and bringing back porcelain dine-in cups, making reusable options a fixture across all of its coffee bars. Peet’s also partners with Too Good To Go to rescue more than 120,000 bags of end-of-day food and address single-use foodservice packaging waste.

Peet’s also has a solid online presence of K-cup pods, espresso capsules, subscriptions, wholesale and more. Shipping is free.

Customer comment: “All the stuff they have is always fresh and delicious, especially the coffee, which is fantastic, and you can get their coffee in several different ways.”
