2025 has been a year of exciting innovations and new offerings at Seattle-based Starbucks. Some highlights:
New beverages and coffee include the Cortado (pictured), permanent to the menu, which adds to the company’s lineup of espressos such as cappuccino and cafe latte. The Cortado is crafted with three ristretto shots of subtly sweet Starbucks Blonde Espresso and cut with milk creating a balanced sip with a creamy texture.
There’s also the Sunsera Blend, Starbucks’ lightest roast ever, offering a unique flavor profile. “Sunsera Blend is naturally sweet with notes of citrus and toasted almond and is delicious hot or cold and is permanent on our menu,” Starbucks said
Also new is Iced Cherry Chai. This beverage begins with black tea infused with cinnamon, clove and other warming spices combined with milk and ice. It’s finished with cherry cream cold foam and a sprinkle of cherry crunch topping. This beverage is available for a limited time.
At the end of 2024, Starbucks announced its Back to Starbucks initiative, focusing on what it said has always set it apart—a welcoming coffeehouse environment where people gather and enjoy the finest coffee, handcrafted by its baristas. Since then, it has made several enhancements to the in-store experience, including the return of the condiment bar and free refills for in-store customers (encouraging them to sit and stay, offering free refills of hot or iced coffee and tea during the same visit).
Customer comment: “Employees were happy, kind and in a great mood. The coffee was delicious, and I left there in a better mood.”
