Sheetz is consistently recognized as a company with exceptional workplace culture. It made the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For list for the eighth time in nine years in 2022, ranking at No. 33—its highest ranking to date.

Fortune highlighted the retailer’s flexibility with employees, wage raises and higher-education discounts.

“Jeans? Fine. Tattoos? No problem. Sheetz encourages employees to express their individuality through their personal appearance, but that’s not the only way this popular chain of convenience stores and coffee shops is attracting and retaining talent. After raising wages by $3 an hour in 2020, the company bumped up pay by another $2 an hour in 2021. Sheetz also has partnerships with more than 20 colleges and universities offering tuition discounts of as much as 25%,” the Fortune review stated.

All Sheetz employees also receive a bonus four times a year, and in 2021, the company expanded its diversity, equity and inclusion efforts to create a more open and accountable workplace, Fortune said.
