One area that is lagging in c-stores is frozen dispensed beverages. Twenty-eight percent of consumers said they are purchasing these items less than they were two years ago, according to the Thirsting for Innovation Report. However, there’s work being done in this area: Earlier this summer, Cumberland Farms, Framingham, Mass., launched its Mocha Frozen Cold Brew coffee in about 400 stores. The frosty caffeinated beverage contains extract from Cumberland Farms’ Farmhouse Blend coffee beans and is available in both small and large sizes.
