11 New Bottled Waters We're Keeping an Eye On

Treo Brands is a new beverage company focused on plant-based hydration. Its first product, Treo Organic Birch Water Infusion, was created by Bob Golden, the son of Hyman Golden, one of the three founders of Snapple.
The low-calorie (10 calories per serving), organic fruit drink is infused with water tapped from birch trees that's said to be naturally hydrating. Treo is the first beverage to incorporate birch water sourced from U.S. birch trees, according to the company.
2. KiKi Maple Sweet Water
KiKi Maple Sweet Water is made by Troll Bridge Creek Inc., Arthur, Ontario.
Initially introduced to health-food stores, KiKi Maple Sweet Water is made from "the pure liquid that is collected from the sugar of Canadian maple trees."
“Filtered by nature,” Maple Sweet Water is said to provide vitamins, minerals and electrolytes for a healthy lifestyle.
3. Alkaline88
The Alkaline Water Company Inc. says it developed Alkaline88 with a state-of-the-art, proprietary electrolysis beverage process that "produces alkaline water for a balanced lifestyle."
Available in 500-mL, 700-mL, 1-liter, 3-liter and 1-gallon sizes, the company is currently in the midst of a national mass-market expansion program.
4. Wat-aah!
The brainchild of a mom with a marketing background trying to improve her kids' habits, Wat-aah! is a functional bottled water for kids and teens, free of sugar, artificial flavors or colors.
The unflavored products are available in still and sparkling with a variety of enhancements, such as Body, Power, Brain, Energy, Party and pH+.
5. Boxed Water
Boxed Water goes back to 2009, but the drink showed up at a NACS Show for the first time last year, launching its effort to get into convenience stores.
Boxed Water, literally packaged in cardboard, is a sustainable packaged-water company that enables socially conscious consumption by rethinking the way water is sold, shipped and consumed. Boxed Water is an alternative to bottled water that is built on three principles: sustainability, efficiency and philanthropy, according to the company.
6. Blossom Water
Blossom Water, well, blossomed out of a desire to infuse water with flower essences.
Launched in 2013 in four flavors—Lemon Rose, Pomegranate Geranium, Plum Jasmine and Grapefruit Lilac—the waters recently scored a plum (heh-heh) position in 1,075 Kroger grocery and convenience stores.
7. Touchy Taytum Water For Her
Touchy Taytum promotes "a healthier source of influence through film, fashion and lifestyle choice." Its Touchy Taytum Water For Her is clearly aimed at girls and women. "Why does she need her own special water?" the company asks on its website. "Because goddesses define special."
8. AquaBall
AquaBall tackled the healthy kids’ beverage market a couple of years ago with a unique round package. In May, the product, produced by True Drinks, introduced a new preservative-free AquaBall Naturally Flavored Water.
9. Neurogenesis Happy Water
Canada’s Leading Brands Inc. launched its Neurogenesis Happy Water in the United States in December 2015. The “perfectly alkaline, blend of spring and mineral waters” first moved in Washington States in 500-mL and 1-liter bottles. The company also features a 5-liter WaterBox for home and office consumption.
10. Core Organic
Core Nutrition in April added to its Core Hydration bottled-water line with Core Organic, a line of fruit-infused beverages with antioxidants and 5 calories per serving available in six flavors.
11. Just Water
Just Water is the brainchild of actor and famous son Jayden Smith. Launched earlier this year, the spring water is packaged in 16-ounce plant-based Tetra Pak bottles that are 100% recyclable.
