2018 SOI: Beer Sales

Sales rise 1.1% on backs of imports and superpremiums

CHICAGO -- Beer sales rose 1.1% in 2017, with premium brands generating $7,758 per store per month, according to NACS preliminary State of the Industry data.

Monthly gross-profit dollars for beer rose 0.6% in 2017, with margin up slightly, according to NACS.

Beer Subcategory Sales Breakdown

C-store sales of premium beer declined in 2017 as imports, superpremium and microbrews gained, according to Nielsen.
