Keurig Dr Pepper’s ready-to-drink tea and juice brand Snapple is headed to the fountain at 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes convenience stores nationwide. The retailer will add Snapple Zero Sugar Peach Tea to the lineup of beverages available on fountains beginning this month. The move marks the first time a Snapple tea beverage will be available in this format since the brand was founded in 1972.

Made from a blend of black and green tea leaves and peach flavor, Snapple Zero Sugar Peach Tea has been the No. 2 best-selling zero sugar tea in the convenience channel for the last three years, according to Circana Market Advantage.

“Retailers are looking to offer a variety of beverages for consumers on fountains that satisfy both impulse treat and better-for-you occasions,” said Sheila Bonner, senior vice president of foodservice solutions at Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP). “Introducing an iconic brand like Snapple to this format, particularly in the zero sugar variety, hits on that need.”

Dennis Phelps, senior vice president of merchandising for vault and proprietary beverages at 7-Eleven Inc., added, “At 7-Eleven, we’re always finding ways to bring new products to our customers to meet their ever-evolving needs. Offering an iconic beverage like Snapple in the fountain format is a new and unique beverage adventure that consumers on the go are sure to love.”

Snapple Zero Sugar Peach Tea joins multiple dispensed beverages from the KDP portfolio including, Dr Pepper (nationwide) and regional favorites such as Big Red, Squirt and Vernors on fountain at participating 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes c-stores.

Founded in 1972, Burlington, Massachusetts-based Snapple got its start in New York and is now available throughout the United States.

7-Eleven operates, franchises or licenses more than 83,000 convenience stores in 19 countries and regions, including more than 13,000 7-Eleven convenience stores in the United States. In addition to 7-Eleven c-stores, the Irving, Texas-based company operates and franchises Speedway and Stripes c-stores and the Laredo Taco Company, and Raise the Roost Chicken and Biscuits restaurant brands.
