Pulpoloco sangria is available now in select 7-Eleven and Speedway stores across the United States.

The sangria, owned by Splash Beverage Group, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is made in Madrid, Spain, following the family recipe of the brand’s founder, Paul Damon, the company said. Pulpoloco is packaged in an innovative, ecofriendly paper can called the CartoCan that minimizes its environmental effects.

The beverage, which comes in three varietals, is in some stores now and will grow to about 4,000 locations within 90 days, Splash Beverage Group said. The varietals are Smooth Red, a light-bodied blend of traditional fruits; Soft Rose, a strawberry lemonade; and Crisp White, a lemon ginger.

Pulpoloco last year was awarded the 7-Eleven Brands with Heart designation, a program designed to give brands the chance to introduce their products to 7-Eleven and Speedway stores.

“We were honored when we were selected for the Brands with Heart designation and are thrilled to now have the ability to get our Pulpoloco product on the shelves,” said Robert Nistico, Splash Beverage Group’s chairman and CEO. “This is another example of how the quality of our distribution continues to create opportunities for us.”

Nistico said Pulpoloco is getting in front of more of the largest and most well-known names in the consumer business because, “We’re confident that the quality of Pulpoloco sangria, combined with its ecofriendly packaging, will be a winning combination.”

Splash Beverage Group owns a growing portfolio of alcohol and nonalcohol beverage brands, including Copa di Vino wine by the glass, Salt flavored tequilas, Pulpoloco sangria and Tapout performance hydration and recovery drink.

Irving, Texas-based 7-Eleven operates, franchises or licenses more than 83,000 convenience stores in 19 countries and regions, including about 13,000 in the United States, including about 9,500 under the 7-Eleven banner, around 3,800 under the Speedway banner and about 500 under the Stripes flag, as well as the Laredo Taco Company and Raise the Roost Chicken and Biscuits brands.
