8 CBD and Hemp Beverages We’re Watching
By Steve Holtz on Apr. 05, 2019CHICAGO — As the excitement around cannabidiol, or CBD, products continues to grow, manufacturers are looking at the various ways to position CBD—a nonpsychoactive chemical said to have medicinal qualities—for consumers. While gel caps, gummies and tinctures are among the more familiar ways to package CBD, increasingly CBD companies are finding beverages an attractive way to deliver the ingredient, which advocates say can help with insomnia and pain and stress relief. Here’s a look at eight CBD beverages that have come to market in recent months …
1. Sprig
Sprig is a CBD-infused soda that includes 20 milligrams of the highest-quality CBD, derived from Colorado and North Carolina hemp, according to the company. The sodas are available in four flavors: Citrus, Lemon Tea, Melon and Citrus With No Artificial Sweeteners. Sprig is distributed in 17 states. A 12-pack sells for $50.
