The Alkaline Water Co. has partnered with Intrastate Distributors Inc. (IDI) as a direct-store-delivery partner to market, sell and distribute Alkaline88 products throughout five Michigan counties: Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, Washtenaw and Wayne.

“Convenience stores continue to be a strong growth channel for Alkaline88 sales, and we’re looking forward to our partnership with IDI in Michigan to help us continue to grow and gain market share there,” said Frank Lazaran, president and CEO of Scottsdale, Arizona-based The Alkaline Water Co. “IDI has 40 years of history in southeast Michigan, where they serve thousands of clients, making them an ideal DSD partner to distribute Alkaline88 in the region.”

Convenience store sales of Alkaline88 products have more than doubled in 2022 over the previous year, Lazaran said. “With good partners like IDI, we still expect to see significant upside going forward.”

Intrastate Distributors Inc. is based in Highland Park, Michigan.

The Alkaline Water Co. late in 2022 added two new direct-store delivery partners, C&M Sales, Franklin, Pennsylvania, and Alber & Leff Foods Co., Bridgeville, Pennsylvania, to cover the entire state of Arkansas and western Pennsylvania, respectively.

Alkaline88 has direct-store delivery (DSD) coverage in 14 states as it continues to grow sales in the convenience and grocery channels, the company said.

Alkaline88 is made with an 8.8pH balance and two ingredients: purified water and pink Himalayan rock salt. The brand was developed with a smooth taste that encourages consumers to drink more and fully hydrate, the company said. Alkaline88 was founded in 2012.
