LA PALMA, Calif. — Convenience-store chain ampm in September will begin carrying Splash Beverage Group’s TapouT performance drinks in all outlets across five western states.

A division of BP, La Palma, Calif.-based ampm stores operate more than 1,100 outlets across Arizona, California, Nevada, Oregon and Washington—and in August the chain expanded to the East Coast.

  • BP is No. 7 on CSP’s 2022 Top 202 ranking of U.S. convenience-store chains by company-owned store count.

“This authorization further enhances our footprint in the western U.S,” said Robert Nistico, Splash Beverage Group’s chairman and CEO. “With more than 1,100 outlets, this authorization is one of our largest single authorizations to date in terms of store count. All four TapouT SKUs will be sold once the rollout takes place in mid-September, significantly increasing visibility and accelerating revenue.”

Those four SKUs are cherry lemonade, citrus, orange and peach mango.

“This authorization is another testament to the distribution footprint Splash has been building,” Nistico added. “Large retailers such as ampm now understand we effectively manage large distribution networks, which gives them the confidence to put Splash products in front of their customers.”

Splash Beverage Group in July extended the distribution of TapouT performance drinks through agreements with three convenience-store chains across Arizona, making its four varieties available in CobbleStone Auto Spa locations, Carioca c-stores and 4 Sons locations.

Splash Beverage Group, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., owns a growing portfolio of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage brands including Copa di Vino wine by the glass, Salt flavored tequilas, Pulpoloco Sangria and TapouT performance hydration and recovery drink. Splash’s strategy is to rapidly develop early-stage brands already in its portfolio as well as acquire and then accelerate brands that have high visibility or are innovators in their categories, it said.
