Caffe Del Mar Launching Appetite-Suppressing Iced Coffee

Frappio will be available at 7-Eleven

DEL MAR, Calif. -- Caffe Del Mar Co. will roll out Frappio Espresso Latte, a caffeine-fortified iced coffee brew at 7-Eleven stores. It has an extra 288-milligram shot of caffeine, about what is in three or more cans of a typical energy drink, the company said.

Frappio is a "full-bodied" Turkish and Sumatran coffee in a 444-milliliter tall energy drink can. Ashwangandha (U.S. Patent Number 6,713,092) is the slimming and natural appetite-suppressing ingredient added to this iced coffee brew.

Caffe Del Mar founder and CEO, Paul [image-nocss] Taparauskas said he got the idea at the Del Mar, Calif., race track, seeing jockeys "spiking their vanilla Slim Fast shakes with freeze-dried instant coffee."

Caffe Del Mar currently distributes franchise brands and private-label coffee products for major wholesalers and convenience stores such as 7-Eleven. The company is currently finalizing marketing and distribution plans for the Frappio product launch.
