MINNEAPOLIS — Caribou Coffee is releasing a line of flavor-infused sparkling drinks with caffeine.

The ready-to-drink Caribou Bou-sted Caffeinated Beverages will come in two varieties: sparkling water and sparkling beverages.

The sparkling waters will be available in grapefruit and mixed berry flavors. The sparkling beverages will be available in dragon fruit and passion fruit orange guava flavors and are made with flavor-infused sparkling water, fruit infusions and other natural flavors. Both will have caffeine derived from coffee beans, ginseng and guarana extract, the company said.

"Caribou Bou-sted allows us to meet our guests' ever-changing needs and bring to market a premium assortment of ready-to-drink caffeinated beverages that are both delicious and functional," said Matt Reiter, senior director of merchandising for Caribou Coffee. "They are perfect in the morning or as an afternoon boost, with several flavor options we know our guests are going to love."

The products, which come in 11.5-ounce slim cans, debut this fall in more than 600 Caribou Coffee locations nationwide and will launch in wholesale in the future, according to the company.

More options will be available in Caribou Coffee locations, including flavor-infused sparkling waters, crafted sodas and crafted sparkling juices.

Earlier this year, the Minneapolis-based chain introduced ready-to-drink coffee, which comes in Cold Brew Black Coffee, Cold Brew Original Crafted (made with nondairy cream and real sugar) and Cold Brew Vanilla Crafted (made with nondairy cream and natural vanilla flavor).

Caribou Coffee was founded in 1992 and has more than 300 company-owned locations nationwide. It has more than 120 domestic license locations and more than 270 international franchise stores. Its products are also sold in grocery stores, mass retailers, club stores, foodservice providers and hotels.
