ANKENY, Iowa —Casey’s General Stores Inc. has launched a line of private-label carbonated soft drinks (CSDs), juices, ready-to-drink (RTD) iced teas and lemonades.

Within the first few weeks of their release, the products have been well-received by customers, Eric Long, director of private brands at Casey’s, said.

“As we looked deeper at the packaged beverage category, we identified an opportunity to introduce great tasting value priced alternatives in the Casey’s brand to complement our current national brand offerings,” Long said. “Given today’s economic climate and uncertainty that guests may feel, we felt providing value for our guests in the packaged beverage category was important, as this is one of our most important categories inside the store.”

Initially, Casey’s is focusing its 20-ounce offerings on full-flavor beverages, as those index higher for the majority of stores, he said. For 2-liters, Casey’s is focusing on the more traditional flavor mix to complement its foodservice offerings.

Twenty-ounce CSDs come in Blue Raspberry, Cream Soda, Fruit Punch, Root Beer, Orange Soda and Grape Soda. The 2-liters are sold in Cola, Root Beer, Lemon-Lime and Orange Soda flavors.

Orange, Apple and Cranberry juices are available in a 12-ounce size.

Sixteen-ounce RTD iced teams come in Sweet Tea, Unsweetened Tea, Raspberry Tea and Green Tea, and 16-ounce lemonades come in regular and Raspberry Lemonade flavors.

Casey’s, based in Ankeny, Iowa, was founded in 1959. It has more than 2,200 convenience stores in 16 states. It is No. 4 on CSP’s 2020 Top 202 ranking of c-store chains by number of retail outlets.
