SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — CEFCO convenience stores are now selling The Alkaline Water Co. Inc.'s Alkaline88 1-liter single-serve beverage size in more than 200 locations across six states.

The move is a big step in The Alkaline Water’s c-store expansion plan, said Ricky Wright, president of the Scottsdale, Ariz.-based beverage company.

“Developing significant partnerships and adding key customers such as CEFCO will allow us to further grow our c-store footprint in addition to expanding distribution of our single-serve products,” Wright said. “The continued c-store growth we are seeing is a testament to the strength of our brand and the trust and confidence that our loyal customers have in Alkaline88.”

Alkaline88 has an 8.8pH balance and was designed to deliver a smooth, soft mouth feel that encourages customers to drink more and fully hydrate, according to the company. Waters come in small grab-and-go bottle sizes, sports bottles and bulk sizes. There is also a calorie- and sugar-free line, A88 Infused, that comes in Watermelon, Raspberry, Peach Mango, Lemon, Lemon-Lime and Blood Orange.

CEFCO Convenience Stores is No. 40 on CSP’s 2021 Top 40 update to the Top 202 ranking of c-stores by store count. The Temple, Texas-based chain has more than 200 stores in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Alabama, Mississippi and Florida.
