Will provide some of its flavor syrups for at-home brewing

WATERBURY, Vt. & PLANO, Texas -- Keurig Green Mountain Inc. and Dr Pepper Snapple Group announced today that the companies will develop a selection of Dr Pepper Snapple Group’s iconic brands for the forthcoming Keurig Cold at-home beverage system.

“With Keurig Cold, we’ve leveraged Keurig innovation to make it possible for consumers to create great-tasting cold beverages at home with the one-touch simplicity of Keurig,” said Lori Tauber Marcus, Keurig’s chief product officer, Keurig Cold Systems.

Dr Pepper Snapple Group executive vice president of marketing Jim Trebilcock said, “Our team is committed to building and enhancing our leading brands, and this agreement presents an opportunity to reach consumers in new occasions. We’re looking forward to working with Keurig to bring our brands to this innovative new platform.”

As a part of this multi-year agreement, Keurig will be the exclusive producer of single-serve, pod-based carbonated DPS brands using fountain syrup in the Keurig Cold platform in the United States and Canada.

Launching in the fall of 2015, Keurig Cold is an innovative new beverage system that will offer consumers a convenient way to enjoy cold beverages made at home, including carbonated drinks, enhanced waters, juice drinks, sports drinks and teas, with the one-touch simplicity, quality and variety that consumers love about the Keurig-brand hot-system platform.

The companies are not disclosing the terms of the agreement.

Atlanta-based Coca-Cola Co., which is a part owner of Keurig Green Mountain Inc., also has partnered with the company in connection with the Keurig Cold launch.

The two companies are collaborating on the development and introduction of Coca‑Cola Co.'s global brand portfolio for use in Keurig Cold. In September, it was announced that Honest Tea will be the first brand from the Coca-Cola Co. available in Keurig's K-Cup packs.

Dr Pepper Snapple Group, Plano, Texas, is a leading producer of flavored beverages in North America. In addition to its flagship Dr Pepper and Snapple brands, its portfolio includes 7UP, A&W, Canada Dry, Clamato, Crush, Hawaiian Punch, Mott's, Mr & Mrs T mixers, Peñafiel, Rose's, Schweppes, Squirt and Sunkist soda.
