WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. —Heineken Minis—7-ounce bottles and 8.5-ounce cans—are now available in retailers in 24 states.

The miniature-sized brews are sold at places including 7-Eleven, Circle K, Sam’s Club, Walmart, Publix and more, according to the White Plains, N.Y.-based beer company. Heineken said the brand will look to expand to additional markets later this year.

“Seven-ounce bottles are popular in hot climates, such as the Caribbean, Africa, Southeast Asia and Southern Europe, as they are easily enjoyed refreshingly cold before they can heat up in the sun,” brand manager Joe Conti said. “We’re aiming to open consumers up to that option this summer with their favorite green lager.”

Heineken Minis have fewer than 100 calories. The beers are part of Heineken’s Summer of Cans retail program. Shoppers can scan a QR code to enter a sweepstakes and win grand prizes including a grill, lounge chairs, hats, koozies and more. Secondary winners will receive other Heineken summer swag prizes.

Heineken’s other brands include its alcohol-free Heineken 0.0, Dos Equis and Tecate.
