On National Milk Day, Jan. 11, Jacksons Food Stores will give customers the chance to win free milk for a year by buying Darigold milk and entering their Jacksons Let’s Go Rewards information at checkout.

Qualifying Darigold purchases include a gallon of milk at Arizona, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington locations and a 59-ounce carton at California stores.

To be eligible to win, customers must be Jacksons Let’s Go Rewards members.

“We are excited for the opportunity to gift seven lucky customers healthy, high-quality milk for a whole year with the help of our partners at Darigold,” said Cory Jackson, president of Meridian, Idaho-based Jacksons Food Stores. “It is a goal of ours to increase access to healthy food options in the communities we operate in. Milk is one of many fresh food options available at Jacksons.”

This sweepstakes is valid only on Jan. 11. A winner will be randomly selected from each of the seven aforementioned states to receive one gallon of milk per week for a year.

  • Jacksons Food Stores is No. 25 on CSP’s 2022 Top 202 ranking of U.S. convenience-store chains by company-owned store count.

Duane Naluai, chief customer officer at Seattle-based Darigold, said, “As a company with deep roots in the Northwest and surrounding states, we love to find opportunities to work with our retail partners in a way that gives something back to our valued customers.

Darigold milk is locally sourced from family farms across the Pacific Northwest and comes from cows never given the synthetic hormone rBST, the company said. “What better way to do that than to celebrate National Milk Day by giving seven lucky Jacksons’ customers the chance to win free milk for a year?”

Darigold Inc. is the marketing and processing subsidiary of Northwest Dairy Association, which is owned by more than 300 family-owned dairy farms in Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington. Darigold, which handles about 10 billion pounds of milk annually, produces a full line of dairy-based products for retail, foodservice, commodity and specialty markets.

Since John D. Jackson founded Jacksons in 1975 as a single service station, the company has grown to be a nationally recognized chain of more than 290 company-operated stores under the Jacksons Food Stores brand, as well as ExtraMile by Jacksons through a joint venture with San Ramon, Calif.-based Chevron USA.
