LOS ANGELES — Koia plant-based drinks, originally launched in 7-Eleven convenience-stores through its Sips & Snacks 2.0 program, is staying on shelves.
The Irving, Texas-based chain this summer relaunched the program that stocked 200 7-Eleven stores in Los Angeles and San Diego with 84 exclusive items from a list of 25 hand-picked brands.

The product test gives new snacks and beverage a trial run in stores, and Koia’s performance earned it a spot—it will now be nationally distributed in 7-Eleven stores, the Los Angeles-based beverage company said.
"Over 60% of our consumers come to 7-Eleven for beverages, making it critical for our portfolio to match their needs of living healthy lives," said Daniela Field, senior category manager of 7-Eleven. "Koia is how we stay competitive and evolve as a broader better-for-you destination, and we wholeheartedly believe it can stand alongside any of the big brands we carry."
7-Eleven will carry Koia’s Protein line including flavors such as Vanilla, Cacao and Chocolate Banana. Each drink contains 18 grams of protein with 4 to 6 grams of sugar, priced at $3.99 a bottle.
All Koia flavors are 100% plant-based, dairy-free, soy-free, gluten-free, vegan and Non-GMO Project verified. Its other beverage lines include Koia Keto shakes, Elevated Coffees and Koia Smoothie.
