PURCHASE, N.Y. —PepsiCo is releasing its first new permanent flavored cola in five years.

Pepsi Mango will be available nationwide starting March 22 at convenience stores, grocery stores and mass retailers. Its flavors are a mix of cola and tropical fruit, the company said, and it also comes in a Zero Sugar variety.

A national TV commercial to support Pepsi Mango features the song “Take You Dancing” by Jason Derulo. In it, a mango pops out of a fruit bowl to find its perfect match—a can of Pepsi, PepsiCo said.

“Our team has created a surprisingly perfect match with Pepsi Mango, combining the delicious taste of Pepsi cola with the flavor of a sweet, juicy mango," said Todd Kaplan, vice president of marketing at Pepsi. "Mango is one of the most popular fruits in the world, and it serves as the perfect complement to Pepsi, creating an irresistible combination that our fans can enjoy everywhere throughout the year."

Playing off Pepsi Mango being an unlikely match, Pepsi is also launching a campaign dedicated to helping people find their perfect match. In early April, Pepsi is turning its advertising inventory on select social media platforms into dating advertorials for a handful of young singles. The series will introduce the singles to the world with personality introductions and contact information, the company said.

PepsiCo, Purchase, N.Y., generated more than $70 billion in revenue in 2020, driven by its food and beverage portfolio that includes brands like Frito-Lay, Gatorade, Pepsi-Cola, Quaker, Tropicana and SodaStream. It has more than 23 brands.
