PURCHASE, N.Y. — Consumers looking for a quick bite can now order through PepsiCo’s ghost kitchen—but they’ll have to choose their drink first.

The beverage company is launching Pep’s Place, a fast-beverage restaurant aimed at showcasing how favorite foods go better with Pepsi, the company said.

Customers in select markets can order a Pepsi and food through PepsPlaceRestaurant.com and major food apps like Uber Eats, Door Dash and Grub Hub. First, customers must pick their Pepsi beverage of choice, which will then prompt a list of curated food items based on that beverage. Food is made in a ghost kitchen, or delivery-only restaurant.

Drink choices are Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Pepsi Zero Sugar, Pepsi Real Sugar, Pepsi Wild Cherry, Pepsi Zero Sugar Wild Cherry, Pepsi Mango and Pepsi Zero Sugar Mango. Food items include cheeseburgers, buffalo wings, Cajun chicken sandwiches, chopped pork sandwiches, spark ribs and chicken Caesar salads. Meals are served with sides like mac and cheese, broccoli and Lay’s chips.

Pep’s Place will be open for delivery for the next 30 days and will be complemented with a media campaign including eight new “Better with Pepsi” commercials.

"For years we have known that Pepsi is the perfect complement to a variety of foods. But even though consumers know that food tastes better with Pepsi, they often still forget to order a beverage with their favorite meals," said Todd Kaplan, vice president of marketing at Pepsi.  "With the launch of Pep's Place, we have designed a new 'fast-beverage' restaurant delivery concept that features a menu and experience literally built around the idea of what foods go best with Pepsi, allowing consumers at home to fully optimize their meals. We are confident that by doing this, everyone will agree—and taste firsthand—how well Pepsi goes with their favorite foods."

Pep’s Place is available in the following states, and a few select cities, according to its website: Arizona, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wisconsin.

PepsiCo, Purchase, N.Y., is known for its snack and beverage brands including Frito-Lay, Gatorade, Pepsi-Cola, Quaker, Tropicana and SodaStream.
