ENON, Ohio — Convenience-store chain Speedway is partnering with Mtn Dew, from Purchase, N.Y.-based PepsiCo, to offer exclusive prizes and promotions as part of the Year of the Dew.

The Year of the Dew allows customers at Speedway stores to win one of 16 Speedway Stashes, packed with a gaming console and more, at soon-to-be revealed locations.

"When we first launched the Year of Dew in 2020, we saw an incredible response from our fans," said Umi Patel, CMO of North Division, PepsiCo Beverages North America. "That's why we're bringing it back in an even bolder way in 2021, with epic prizing that rewards our fans in innovative ways. We're excited to once again put Dew Nation in the driver's seat all year long to celebrate our exclusive partnership."

Last year, Mtn Dew launched an exclusive new flavor, Mtn Dew Spark, at Speedways. In 2021, it’s encouraging purchases of its new flavor Mtn Dew Major Melon.

People who buy a 20-ounce Mtn Dew at their local Speedway can also win daily prizes, Speedway gift cards, Mtn Dew products, a $1,000 gift card and more by entering their under-the-cap codes on the Year of Dew website.

Marathon Petroleum is an integrated, downstream energy company based in Findlay, Ohio. Its Speedway, subsidiary, based in Enon, Ohio, is the third-largest c-store chain in the United States with 3,900 c-stores. Irving, Texas-based 7-Eleven Inc. announced last year that it would acquire Speedway for $21 billion.  The companies expect the deal to close in first-quarter 2021.
