PURCHASE, N.Y. — More than 2,500 Speedway convenience stores will carry a new flavor of Mtn Dew: Mtn Dew Spark.

The beverage, from Purchase, N.Y.-based PepsiCo, is a pink-colored Mtn Dew with a raspberry lemonade flavor. The drink will be available in Speedway’s North and South regions of the United States for a limited time.

Mtn Dew Spark’s launch is part of a yearlong platform at Speedway called Year of Dew. The campaign's aim is to drive purchases of Dew products at the c-store chain, which parent company Marathon Petroleum Corp. recently agreed to sell to 7-Eleven Inc.

Year of Dew gives consumers the chance to win exclusive product release, promotions and other surprises all year. Part of the campaign, the Revvv Up Your Dew Den contest, allows fans to enter through Sept. 27 to win weekly grand prizes of custom Mtn Dew Spark gear. Fans can enter at www.yearofdew.com. Daily winners will also be selected to win a case of 20-ounce Mtn Dew Spark.

"We're very pleased to 'Do the Dew' in a big way this year at Speedway, and the exclusive launch of Mtn Dew Spark at our stores allows us to continue the great engagement with our customers who 'Do the Dew' as well," said Tim Griffith, Speedway's president. "We are thrilled to partner with Mtn Dew to build on our outstanding, wide selection of products offered, and to continue delivering a safe, convenient and personal shopping experience for our loyal customers."

Marathon Petroleum is an integrated, downstream energy company based in Findlay, Ohio. Its Speedway subsidiary, based in Enon, Ohio, is the third-largest c-store chain in the United States with 3,900 c-stores. Irving, Texas-based 7-Eleven Inc. is the largest U.S. c-store chain with more than 9,300 stores. Its purchase of Speedway is expected to close in first-quarter 2021.
