LAS VEGAS -- Xyience Xenergy, the official energy drink of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), has announces that it is launching a limited-edition collector can featuring Ronda Rousey, UFC women's bantamweight champion and Xyience team athlete.

Her image will appear on the packaging of Xenergy Cherry Lime, one of the brand's best-selling flavors. The cans will be available at Xyience retailers nationwide starting Nov. 1 through Dec. 31, 2013.

"Ronda embodies the spirit of our brand: Power to Win. She is an articulate and inspiring athlete who resonates with our growing consumer audience," said John Lennon, Xyience's president, noting that approximately one-third of Xyience Xenergy consumers are women. "According to our consumer research, females prefer Xenergy for its superior flavor and the fact that it is sugar- and calorie-free."

An Olympic bronze medalist in judo, Rousey made history in Nov. 2012 when the UFC announced that the former Strikeforce bantamweight champion would headline UFC 157: Rousey vs. Carmouche on Feb. 23, 2013 in Anaheim, Calif. She became the first woman to defend her title in the UFC, and since then the California native has shot even further to stardom.

Rousey, 26, is currently featured in the reality television series The Ultimate Fighter 18 on FOX Sports 1. She and Tate, her longtime rival and UFC 168 opponent serve as coaches for opposing teams. Rousey also has a role in The Expendables 3, a Sylvester Stallone film and was the subject of a FOX Sports 1 documentary, Breaking Ground. She has been featured on the cover of ESPNThe Magazine's 2012 Body Issue, Sports Illustrated, Vogue, Esquire and The New York Times Magazine, among others.

At the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, Rousey took home a bronze medal for Team USA, becoming the first American to medal in women's judo since it became an Olympic sport in 1992. In 2006, she won the bronze medal at the Junior World Championships, making her the first U.S. athlete to win two Junior World medals. At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, 17-year-old Rousey was the youngest contestant to compete in judo. Rousey was named Female Fighter of the Year at the World MMA Awards in early 2012.

Headquartered in Las Vegas, Xyience's sports nutrition products, which include Advanced Protein Complex, Pre-Workout Booster and Thermogenic Fat Burner, among others are designed to support an active and healthy lifestyle. The brand's flagship product is Xenergy, a sugar-free, zero-calorie beverage that is made with all-natural flavors and colors. Xenergy energy beverages are available in Frostberry Blast, Cran Razz, Fruit Punch, Mango Guava, Blu Pomegranate, Cherry Lime, Tangerine and Melon Mayhem.
