C-Stores See Their Share of Cigarette Volumes Improve in 2014

Through the first half of 2014, premium cigarette sales volumes dipped 3.8% in all outlets, according to distributor shipment data, even as convenience stores claimed another 1% of the overall volume, according to a presentation by Management Science Associates.

Discount cigarettes, meanwhile, saw volumes decline 6.3% in all outlets, again with c-store claiming another 1% of overall share to reach 70%.
