11 Enhanced Waters We're Watching

Here’s a look at the product launch and 10 other recent bottled-water news …
1. Dasani Sparkling
The Pomegranate Blueberry and Pear Kiwi flavors of Dasani Sparkling “provide notes of fresh fruit flavor,” the company said, and Original offers “the clean, crisp taste sparkling-water fans look for.” The new flavors will launch in 12-ounce slim cans with a soft rollout in March and will be available nationwide by mid-April.
Coca-Cola Co. introduced Dasani Sparkling in fall 2013. In 2017, the brand grew more than 60% in convenience-store unit sales, according to IRI year-end data.
2. Montane Sparkling Spring Water
Montane Sparkling Spring Water landed two new distribution partnerships that will expand its product reach.
Savannah Distributing Co., Atlanta, will make Montane accessible to grocery and convenience stores, restaurants and bars across Georgia. And through a contract with Publix Super Markets, Montane's products will be available in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
Montane Sparkling Spring Water is available in 12-ounce cans in three flavors: Original (unflavored), Cucumber Lime and Honeysuckle Meyer Lemon.
3. Just Water Infused
Just Water, the "responsibly sourced, produced and packaged" bottled water, has added a line of waters "infused with a dash of fruit flavor." The organic enhanced drinks are available in 16.9-ounce paper bottles in three flavors: Apple Cinnamon, Tangerine and Lemon. The drinks contain zero calories, no added sugars and no sweeteners, artificial flavors, preservatives or colors.
4. Lalpina Hydrogen Energy Booster
American Premium Water Corp., Playa Vista, Calif., launched its “luxury” bottled-water brand Lalpina Hydrogen Energy Booster during Super Bowl week in Minneapolis. Lalpina Hydrogen provides a natural energy boost, according to the company. The hydrogen-infused water also “promotes the increase in free-radicals and antioxidants” and “aides in recovery from exercise and physical exertion.” The product is packaged in 180-mL pouches and 20-unit cases.
5. Green-Go Organic Cactus Water
New company Green-Go launched in October with a zero-calorie USDA organic cactus water “derived from the nutrient-rich paddle of the Nopal, or prickly pear, cactus.” The initial product from the company is Hint of Lemon Organic Cactus Water; it has a 15-month shelf life and is packaged in a 16.9-ounce Tetra Pak with a suggested retail price of $2.99. Green-Go’s organic cactus water is Non-GMO Project verified and OU Kosher certified. The zero-calorie water contains anti-inflammatory properties, helps clear up eczema and also has hydration benefits, the company said.
6. Kopu
Kopu is a "luxury" sparkling water from New Zealand. It is sourced from an aquifer thousands of feet below the dormant volcanoes of New Zealand’s Bay of Plenty, according to the Kopu Water Co., Santa Barbara, Calif. The water is then infused with "pure effervescence to create Kopu’s signature luxurious taste," the company said.
7. Waterloo
Packed in a traditional 12-ounce can, Waterloo Sparkling Water features bold, colorful packaging in seven flavors: Original, Black Cherry, Watermelon, Coconut, Lemon, Lime and Grapefruit. The drink has zero calories, sugar and sodium. It is available for a suggested retail price of $5.99 per 12-pack.
8. Liquid Death Spring Water
Liquid Death is a natural alkaline spring water packaged in 16-ounce cans. Maybe. “Our final product might end up being alkaline artesian water instead of spring water,” the company says on its website. And on Facebook, it says, “Sourced from hell in the Glorgzoroth Mountains, this water is purified evil in an ice-cold can. Drink it before it drinks you and everyone you love.” The product will be available in June.
9. Hydrive Energy Water
Hydrive Energy Water announced the launch of two new flavors: Kiwi Melon and Grape Fusion. The new flavors join Hydrive’s lineup to provide consumers with the hydration benefits of water with the added function of energy from B vitamins and caffeine, the company said. Hydrive Energy Water has zero calories, 160 milligrams of caffeine and 35% of the recommended daily allowance of B vitamins. It retails for $1.89-$2.29 per 16-ounce bottle.
10. Ax Water
Ax Water is a health and wellness beverage made from all-natural ingredients. It contains 30 calories and packs all the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits of the aronia berry into a 16-ounce drink, the Fargo, N.D.-based company said. It is offered in three flavors: Lemon, Black Tea and Blackberry + Pear.
11. BiPro Protein Water
BiPro added a new flavor to the brand's line of caffeinated water products. Orange BiPro Protein Water contains 20 grams of protein and 100 milligrams of caffeine per serving. That’s equivalent to one 8-ounce cup of coffee. Each 16.9-ounce bottle contains 90 calories and zero grams of sugar, fat and carbohydrates.
