Beverage Maker Big Red Buys Xyience

Soda maker adds energy-drink, nutrition company to its portfolio

AUSTIN, Texas & LAS VEGAS -- Beverage maker Big Red Inc. is now the owner of energy-drink maker Xyience. Little information is available, but the deal was completed this week.

Xyience was established in 2004 in Las Vegas as a sports nutrition and supplement company. In 2006, the company launched its energy drink Xenergy. Since then it’s steadily grown its product offer and distribution reach to become one of the top 10 energy brands in the country.

Xenergy is the first energy drink created by a nutrition company and the fastest-growing brand in its category. Xenergy is a sugar-free, zero-calorie beverage that is made with all-natural flavors and colors.
