Busch Beer Welcomes Fall With Hunting-Themed 'Trophy Cans'

New packaging part of promotion to win once-in-a-lifetime expedition

ST. LOUIS -- Busch Beer has introducing a new trophy for hunters to set their sights on this hunting season. Since Sept. 8, Busch fans can purchase Busch Beer in a sleek, redesigned package, as well as enter to win the ultimate hunting getaway.

“For the past several years, we’ve had a great time playing around with the packaging designs during hunting season to celebrate our loyal drinkers who are avid outdoorsmen and have a passion for hunting,” said Edison Yu, vice president of value brands at Anheuser-Busch, St. Louis. “New this year, we’re giving our fans a chance to win an incredible hunting trip that will be the envy of everyone else at deer camp.”

The 2014 Busch Hunting can features hunting graphics complete with silhouettes of deer, elk and duck over Busch’s signature “blaze orange” background. The packaging will be randomly seeded with 60,000 special-edition “trophy cans,” which consumers can use to enter the Hunt Down a Trophy Can contest and have the chance to win incredible prizes, including a once-in-a-lifetime hunting vacation.

After finding a special-edition trophy can, consumers are encouraged to capture a photo with the can, upload it through the Busch Facebook page or www.Busch.com. Each week, the two most creative submissions will be selected, and the winners will be rewarded with hunting-equipment prizes.

All weekly winners will then be entered to win the grand prize--an all-expense-paid hunting trip at Deer Creek Lodge in Sebree, Ky.

While the Hunt Down a Trophy Can promotion is open to entrants nationwide Sept. 8 through Nov. 30, the limited-edition hunting packaging is only available in select states, primarily across the Midwest and South, from September through November. It is available in four pack sizes: 18-pack 12-oz. cans; 24-pack 12-oz. cans; 30-pack 12-oz. cans; and 25-oz. cans.
