CSDs Hit Hard on List of Most-Valuable Soft-Drink Brands
By Steve Holtz on Aug. 29, 2016LONDON -- There wasn’t a lot of movement on this year’s Brandirectory list of the top 10 most-valuable soft-drink brands, but there was major change for several of the brands’ values, particularly for carbonated soft drinks.
Five of the six CSD or energy-drink brands on the list saw their value decrease in the past year.
London-based Brand Finance, which developed the list, said “an increase in health awareness in relation to carbonated drinks” is driving the decline.
Meanwhile, three out of four of the noncarbonated drink brands on the list saw their value increase in the past year.
