iSee Adds Innovation Director

Display company plans growth in c-store and grocery

ST. LOUIS -- iSee Store Innovations, a design and manufacturing company of merchandising display solutions, has added Nathan Underhill as its director of innovation. In this new position, Underhill manages the innovation process from ideation to reality.

“People tend to think of products when we talk about innovation, yet in a broader sense innovation also means how you organize teams and leverage individual and organizational strengths to drive new thinking around challenges,” Underhillsaid. “We view ourselves first and foremost as an innovation company, not a sales or manufacturing company. Ultimately, my role as director of innovation is to facilitate the process of uncovering our customers’ unmet needs and then to work with our internal teams to turn those discoveries into tangible products that provide meaningful solutions.”

Underhill has nearly 10 years of sales, marketing and operations experience in the wholesale distribution space, where his primary focus was on establishing and cultivating strategic relationships with key customers and partners. He said he plans to leverage his background to create a strong, strategic approach to innovation at iSee, St. Louis.

In his first major product rollout at the company, Underhill and the iSee team earned recognition for the launch of RollerChill+, the next generation of the company’s unique refrigeration technology. RollerChill+ won the No. 1 spot in the Cool New Products section at the NACS Show.

With at least one major innovation each year, iSee Store Innovations has demonstrated significant growth with both local and national brands, including longtime St. Louis client Anheuser-Busch InBev, PepsiCo, Monster Energy, MillerCoors, E. & J. GalloWinery and more.

The RollerChill and RollerChill+ rollouts, along with the introduction of the company’s Tundra line of freezer category-display fixtures, set the stage for significant growth for iSee in 2017. Underhill will play a major role in shaping how these innovations go to market in both the convenience and grocery channels.
