Ocean Spray enters energy-drink fray

LAKEVILLE-MIDDLEBORO, Mass. -- Jumping on the energy-drink trend, Ocean Spray this month is launching Cranergy Energy Juice Drink, “devoted to re-energizing busy Americans with a source of energy they can feel good about.”

Cranergy includes green-tea extract, a natural source of caffeine; five B vitamins, which support healthy energy production; and vitamin C, which can help boost immunity. It contains 35 calories per 8-ounce serving.

Cranergy is available in two flavors—Cranberry Lift and Raspberry Cranberry Lift—both made with real fruit juice from Ocean [image-nocss] Spray cranberries.

The drinks are available in 46-ounce plastic bottles or 12-ounce four-packs for on-the-go consumption at the suggested retail price of $3.99.

Lakeville-Middleboro, Mass.-based Ocean Spray is an agricultural cooperative owned by more than 600 cranberry growers in Massachusetts, Wisconsin, New Jersey, Oregon, Washington and parts of Canada, as well as more than 50 Florida grapefruit growers.
