TOMBALL, Texas -- Several convenience store chains have added Purple Stuff relaxation/focus soda into their 2011 store sets, drink maker Funktional Beverages Inc. said. Also, several hundred independent and small-chain c-stores have already begun bringing on Purple Stuff for their 2011 sets.
Major rtailers joining the Purple Stuff family in January include Mini-Mart Convenience stores, operating 18 locations around Kerrville, Texas; Signature Austin Stores, with 20 locations in and around Austin, Texas; EZ Go Foods, Lawton, Okla., operating 23 stores in Oklahoma; Quik-Way [image-nocss] Foods, Dallas, operating 46 stores from Dallas to Shreveport, La; Food Fast Convenience Stores, Tyler, Texas, operating 69 stores in Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana; QuikTrip Corp., Tulsa, Okla., with 81 locations in Dallas/Fort Worth (joining the existing Quik Trips of Arizona); Kum & Go LC, West Des Moines, Iowa, operating more than 430 stores in 11 states; and RaceTrac Petroleum Inc., Atlanta, with 571 locations across 12 states.
New retail agreements were made possible by availability of Superliminal Purple Stuff through new distribution and wholesale agreements in 2011. These new companies are DSD distributors Kimball Distributing, Dallas; Grocery Supply Co., Sulphur Springs, Texas; Grocers Supply, Houston; and C.D. Hartnett, Weatherford, Texas, as well as national availability through McLane Co., Temple, Texas.

These retailers are answering the requests of their consumers that show so much enthusiasm for the Purple Stuff brand of sodas. Demand is growing exponentially by the word of mouth of U.S. teenagers," said Funktional Beverages CMO Tim Lucas.
Based in Tomball, Texas, Funktional Beverages manufactures cold fill/hot fill beverages, nutritional supplements and social media consumer systems. It uses co-packers to bottle its products. Brands include Superliminal Purple Stuff and Supraliminal Labs Red Stuff. It also works with private-label manufacturing.
