Rutter’s Drinks Expand to New Venue

Private-label packaged beverages now available in local pro baseball team’s stadium

YORK, Pa. --Rutter's Farm Stores will bring its selection of private-label beverages and foods to a new venue this spring.

York, Pa.-based Rutter’s is now the exclusive provider of bottled teas, juices and milk at PeoplesBank Park, the stadium for professional baseball team the York Revolution.

The three-year agreement means Revolution fans attending the team’s 70 home games and people hosting non-game-day events at the ballpark during and outside of the season will find Rutter’s milk products, iced teas, lemonades and juice flavors on PeoplesBank Park menus. Rutter’s beverages will be served at the ballpark’s concession stands; in its luxury skyboxes and rental suites; in the new Bullpen Balcony and Home Run Patio groups and hospitality areas; and at Closer’s Bar, the full-service bar debuting at PeoplesBank Park this season.

The deal also provides a new K-Man reward for fans. Through an agreement with Rutter’s convenience stores, fans in attendance will receive free mozzarella cheese sticks through the stores’ VIP Rewards program when Revolution pitchers strike out the K-Man of the game. Team officials said they look forward to teaching fans to substitute the old “bread sticks!” K-Man chant with “cheese sticks!” when the team begins its season on April 28.

Fans will further benefit from the agreement through Rutter's store coupons distributed at the end of each game at the ballpark exits.

“We’re excited to have this opportunity to put another York County business stamp on the Revs,” said Todd Rutter, president of Rutter's Beverage Co., sister company of Rutter’s Farm Stores. “Rutter’s is a leading beverage company and the leading convenience store in York County. It’s a home run for everyone!”

“We’re thrilled to bring these great local products to our fans while working with Rutter’s to drive product sales at the ballpark and traffic to their stores,” said Nate Tile, York Revolution's vice president of business development. “The best part about working for York’s home team is forming relationships like this and developing strategies that produce real results for our partners.”

To establish the relationship, Rutter’s will be on site during the Revolution’s Fan Fest on April 15 to let fans sample the latest additions to the ballpark fare.
