Rutter's to Carry Pulse Beverages

Core-Mark distribution deal bringing Cabana drinks to Pennsylvania c-store chain

YORK, Pa. -- Pennsylvania convenience store chain Rutter's Farm Stores will offer Pulse Beverage Corp.'s Cabana Lemonades and Limeades through a distribution deal with Core-Mark Holding Co. Inc.

South San Francisco, Calif.-based Core Mark will manage the supply chain through its Wilkes-Barre, Pa., distribution center.

Core-Mark is one of the largest broad-line, full-service distributors of packaged consumer products to the convenience store retail industry in North America, providing distribution and logistics services, as well as marketing programs to more than 20,000 retail locations in 46 states and five Canadian provinces through its 25 distribution centers. It services traditional convenience stores; grocers; mass merchandisers; drug, liquor and specialty stores; and other stores that carry consumer packaged goods (CPGs).

"The addition of Core-Mark in the Northeast is a major opportunity for us, they have a distribution system preferred by many buyers," said Paddy Sheya, national sales manager and vice president of Pulse Beverage. "We will be working with them to expedite our brands within its distribution network."

Denver-based Pulse Beverage Corp.--maker of Natural Cabana Lemonades, Limeades and Coconut Waters and Pulse Heart & Body Health drinks--is an emerging beverage company that offers a line of low-calorie natural drinks and functional beverages.

York, Pa.-based Rutter's is a chain of 60 convenience stores and gas stations in central Pennsylvania.
