Twisted Tea Adds Three Hard-Lemonade Flavors

National rollout follows New Hampshire and Massachusetts test markets

CINCINNATI -- The Twisted Tea Brewing Co. is rolling nationally its new Twisted Lemonade. This new hard lemonade tastes like homemade lemonade and hits shelves just in time for warmer weather, according to the company.

Twisted Lemonade is made from the juice of fresh lemons, and brew masters found just the right level of carbonation for a smooth, refreshing taste.

Twisted Lemonade is made by Cincinnati-based Twisted Tea Brewing Co., which also brews Twisted Tea, a hard iced tea that was introduced in 2001 and is recognized by drinkers for its smooth and refreshing real-iced-tea taste.

When Twisted Lemonade was first released earlier this year in New Hampshire and parts of Massachusetts during the cold weather, New England drinkers loved it, according to the company. “I think we’re all looking forward to warmer days, and this is going to be a drink of choice for anyone looking for a refreshing and delicious flavored malt beverage during the warmer months of spring and summer,” said Twisted Tea spokesperson Robert Vail.

Twisted Lemonade is made with real lemon juice and has a fresh lemon aroma and taste that is sweet and citrusy upfront with a dry finish. Drinkers will enjoy its real lemonade taste, but without the acidity. Twisted Lemonade is now available in three styles: Twisted Lemonade, Twisted Pink Lemonade and Twisted Strawberry Lemonade, each at 5% ABV.

All styles are available in 6-packs (of 12 -z. bottles) for a suggested retail price of $8.99. Twisted Lemonade and Twisted Strawberry Lemonade are also available in 16-oz. cans for a suggested retail price of $1.99, and 24-oz. cans for a suggested retail price of $2.79 (all prices vary by market).
