7-Eleven Slurpee Event Celebrates National Sibling Day

Chain brings back buy one, get one promotion

IRVING, Texas -- 7-Eleven convenience stores are inviting brothers, sisters and even friends to celebrate National Sibling Day with a buy one, get one free Slurpee offer.

From April 10-16 at participating 7‑Eleven c-stores, customers who buy any size or flavor Slurpee drink can receive a second Slurpee drink (of the same size or smaller) for free.

“A lot of siblings share Slurpee drinks while growing up, and it’s a fun summertime childhood memory,” said Laura Gordon, vice president of marketing and brand innovation for Irving, Texas-based 7-Eleven Inc. “With this weeklong buy one, get one promotion, brothers, sisters and BFFs can share the Slurpee love.”

As part of the promotion, 7-Eleven is featuring an exclusive new Trolli-branded Slurpee flavor: Pineapple Lime. 7‑Eleven stores recently rolled out Trolli Sour Brite Sloths gummy candy, as well.

7-Eleven is also inviting Slurpee fans to share photos on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat (username: REALLYSLURPEE) using the hashtag #SlurpeeBOGO.

“A Slurpee always tastes better when it is shared with someone else,” Gordon said. “Many [customers] bring family and friends with them when they stop by for a Slurpee drink. Not only are they sharing a Slurpee, they’re making memories they can share for a lifetime.”

During the buy one, get one free event, both the purchased and free Slurpee drinks count toward the 7Rewards “Buy Six, Get the Seventh Free” drink offer available on the 7‑Eleven smartphone app.
