7-Eleven's 'Dip-A-Drip' Promotion Celebrates National Coffee Day

Free coffee, chance to dunk obnoxious person into giant cup of Joe

DALLAS -- To celebrate National Coffee Day on September 29, 7-Eleven Inc. will give away a free medium coffee at participating stores from 7:00 a.m. EST to 11:00 a.m. PST, the company announced on Facebook. And as part of this "CofFREE Dip-A-Drip" promotion, Facebook users will have a chance to vote on and then dip a "drip" (an obnoxious person) into a giant cup of coffee.

On September 19-23, users vote on the person they want to dip the most. There is no limit to the number of votes that can be cast by a single user. On September 26, 7-Eleven will tally the votes and announce the top three candidates.

On September 28, from 7:00 a.m. EST to 11:00 a.m. PST, users log on to control a ball launcher to Dip A Drip the person into a giant cup of coffee at Union Station in Washington, D.C. The participant who successfully dips the drip will win a $25 7-Eleven gift card.

The medium coffee giveaway on September 29 is limited to one per customer while supplies last, and does not include iced coffee, the company said.

Wilson Farm c-stores are also participating in the coffee giveaway. The 188-store chain based in Buffalo, N.Y., was recently acquired by 7-Eleven and is now beginning to undergo conversion to the new banner (click here to view CSP Daily Newscoverage).
