Chester's Rolls Out Two New Locations in Alabama

Home state retailers add QSR chicken program

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Chester's International Inc., a leading fried chicken foodservice offering in the convenience store category, has announced the opening of its two newest locations in the state of Alabama. The first Chester's is located in R.J.'s, just a few minutes from downtown Jasper. The second location is inside Quick Stop No. 1 in Parrish.

Both stores are located within the Greater Birmingham Area in Walker County.

"We are excited to be partnered with the Chester's Chicken program in two of our convenience store locations," said Andy Jiwani, owner and [image-nocss] operator. "We look forward to the new products and combo offerings that this Chester's relationship offers.

He added, "We anticipate strong growth and believe our customers will eagerly embrace this first-class chicken program."

Both locations will offer Chester's signature menu items such as its fried bone-in chicken, chicken tenders, potato wedges and biscuits. They will be open seven days a week, from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

"Chester's is thrilled to welcome Mr. Jiwani, R.J.'s, and Quick Stop No. 1 to the Chester's family," said James Venable, vice president of operations with Chester's. "The power of the Chester's brand will be a tremendous tool as we continue to exceed the daily expectations of our customers."

Birmingham, Ala.-based Chester's is a leader of restaurant quick-service restaurant (QSR) concepts with more than 1,800 licensed and franchised locations. Chicken on the Fly, its latest grab-n-go program, offers customers a convenient meal solution that is ready in less than 30 days. Straight from the freezer: Cook it, pack it, sell it. It has no royalties, minimal investment and virtually no labor, the company said.
