Flash Market Adding More Pizza Inns

Expanding concept with 10 express sites in Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee

DALLAS-- Based on its experience of operating five Pizza Inn restaurants in Alabama, Arkansas and Tennessee since 2009, Flash Market Inc. has decided to expand the offering. Pizza Inn Holdings Inc. has awarded 10 new franchise units to Flash Market.

West Memphis, Ark.-based Flash Market owns and operates 80 convenience store locations across the Southeast, with 35 different restaurant concepts. It currently operates Pizza Inn restaurants in Lebanon, Tenn., Cave City, Ark., Saraland, Ala., and two units in Marion, Ark. The company will integrate the 10 new Pizza Inn units into its existing locations. The Pizza Inn Express restaurants will be located in Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee.

Flash Market projects that its first new Pizza Inn Express restaurant will open in fall 2013.

Based in the Dallas suburb of The Colony, Texas, Pizza Inn Holdings is an owner, franchisor and supplier of a system of restaurants operating domestically and internationally under the trademarks Pizza Inn and Pie Five Pizza Co. Pizza Inn features traditional and specialty pizzas, as well as freshly made pastas, sandwiches and desserts. Pie Five Pizza Co. operates in the fast-casual pizza space, offering individual pizzas made to order and cooked in fewer than five minutes. Founded in 1958, Pizza Inn Holdings owns and franchises approximately 300 restaurants.

Flash Market and affiliated petroleum company Flash Oil Co. of Arkansas Inc. own, operate or supply fuel to more than 150 retail locations in the states of Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi and Missouri. Of these locations, approximately 70 are company-owned and operated under the Flash Market banner, and it markets and distributes fuel under the CITGO, Shell, Phillips and Conoco brands.
