Grundy Market Home to Newest Chester's Location

QSR concept provider adds another location in Volunteer State
TRACY CITY, Tenn. -- Grundy Market in Tracy City, Tenn., celebrated the grand opening on March 19 of the latest Chester's chicken location in the Volunteer State. Chester's International is a leading fried chicken foodservice offering for the convenience store category.

Chester the Chicken made an appearance at the Grundy Market to help with the grand opening activities, which included a ribbon cutting and pictures with local fans.

"We are excited to introduce Chester's to our community," said Satishkumar Patel, owner of the Grundy Market. "After researching several [image-nocss] options for a QSR [quick-serve restaurant] concept, Chester's brand recognition and quality food offerings were the perfect fit. We look forward to expanding our foodservice experience with the Chester's team."

The Grundy Market will now offer Chester's signature menu items such as fried bone-in chicken, chicken tenders, potato wedges and biscuits. The new Chester's location will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner; and will offer customers dine-in or carryout options.

"We are proud to welcome the Grundy Market into the Chester's family and are looking forward to opening another store in the great state of Tennessee," said Kathryn Kudulis, brand manager for Chester's.

Birmingham, Ala.-based Chester's has more than 1,500 Chester Fried licensed and Chester's franchised locations. Along with its products, Chester's offers flexible size and store layout options, training and support. Chester's uses only fresh chicken that is specially marinated and double-breaded using a proprietary family recipe and offers bone-in, tenders and potato wedges as well as sandwiches, wraps, salads, breakfast and sides.
