Hot Stuff Foods Unveils SmashHits Deli

New look, menu; also promoting pizza

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- Hot Stuff Foods unveiled a new format, new name, new look and new incentive for its SmashHits Deli program. Formerly known as Smash Hit Subs, the new SmashHits Deli, according to chairman and president Des Hague, also has an expanded menu.

In addition to our delicious sub sandwiches, Hague said, the Smash Hits Deli also serves wraps, soups, salads, fresh-baked cookies and Italian Ciabatta bread sandwiches as well as the totally new Phat Burrito.

Following suit with sister brand Hot Stuff Food on the Go, Hague [image-nocss] also announced the removal of franchise fees for new franchise partners. Our franchise fees have consistently been the lowest in the industry for a national brand, he said. By eliminating franchise fees, we are emphatically stating that we are totally committed to growing the retailer's foodservice business.

In addition to eliminating franchisee fees, Hague said there are also additional incentives for those retailers committed to long-term growth who attain the President's Club level of $200,000 retail sales in a year. Finally, Hot Stuff Foods programs do not charge a royalty.

In other company news, Hot Stuff Foods has added the new Philly Steak pizza toppings, now available on both Hot Stuff's Palm Pizza and Personal-Size Pan Pizza.

For a limited time, the company is introducing the new Philly Steak Pizza as part Hot Stuff's Great American Pizza Rollback promotion, which reduces the suggested retail price from $3.19 to $2.49 on Philly Steak Palm Pizzas and from $3.69 to $2.99 on the new Philly Steak PSPP.

Hague said Hot Stuff is combining the strengths of three of the company's popular food solutions' initiatives. Our PSPP has been our core product for almost 20 years, he said, and Hot Stuff's Palm Pizza is the single greatest launch we've had in the last decade. Combining these popular pizza brands with our Great American Pizza Rollback should continue to entice our retailer's customers who have contributed to as much as a 200% increase in retail sales since the Great American Pizza Rollback began.

Also as part of the Great American Pizza Rollback, Hot Stuff is busting out its latest pizza promotionthe Price Buster Pizza. It is promoting the large (14-inch) thin crust pizza for $5.99 or two for $9.99.
