"We are always looking for ways to thank servicemen and women for their many sacrifices--whether it's serving up a 25-cent grill item or donating millions to support military charities through our annual Salute Our Troops campaign," said Gordon Schmidt, senior vice president of operations of Kangaroo Express. "Our service members deserve our thanks each and every day, and we look forward to offering them a special deal as a small token of appreciation on Veteran's Day."

With more than half of its convenience stores located within 25 miles of a military installation, Kangaroo Express has supported the military and their families for many years, including raising millions of dollars each year for military support organizations as part of its summer-long Salute Our Troops fundraising campaign. This year's Salute Our Troops campaign raised more than $1.9 million, bringing the total amount of funds raised over the past four summers to $10 million.

Kangaroo Express is also committed to offering portable, transferable career opportunities to current and former service members and their spouses.

As of Oct. 7, 2014, The Pantry operated 1,518 stores in 13 states under select banners, including its primary operating banner, Kangaroo Express.
